How many offers are there for each participating merchant?
There are 3 offers for each participating merchant. They may be the same or they may differ.
How many vouchers can be used at one time at a particular merchant?
A maximum of 4 offers can be used at one time. You can use 1 offer per 2 people so, for example, if 8 people are dining then 4 vouchers can be used.
Can my vouchers be used by friends and family?
No, the vouchers in this app are for your use only
How long do my offers last?
Each offer has an expiry date on the voucher; the offer will be removed once this date has passed. Your SABB Entertainer Mobile App will automatically update at the beginning of each year as long as SABB continues to partner with The Entertainer
What are the restrictions on the vouchers?
Our offers have very few restrictions on times / days when they cannot be used. Please see the rules of use.
Why can’t I use my vouchers for Iftar and on days such as Eid, Christmas Day, etc?
The Entertainer offers are not valid on public holidays or days such as Christmas Day because many outlets run special promotions which are not relevant to our offers. Iftar is classed as a special promotion so vouchers will not be accepted in conjunction with these promotions.
Can I purchase additional offers for my favorite outlets?
No, individual vouchers are not currently available for purchase. Why not take advantage of vouchers for an outlet you didn’t previously know about?
Can I access The Entertainer App through the SABB Entertainer Mobile App?
No, the two apps are completely separate.
Will my SABB Entertainer Mobile App be linked to my account on The Entertainer website/app?
No, your two accounts are completely separate.
How can I retrieve a new password for my account to sign in to the SABB Entertainer Mobile App?
If you forget your password when trying to sign in to the SABB Entertainer Mobile App then simply click the Forgot Password link and the Entertainer will email you a link to follow and you can set a new password.
Is there a search facility or a map on the app highlighting the outlets close by where I can redeem vouchers?
Yes, if you enable location based services on your smartphone then the offer list will show the outlets closest to you at the top. And if you go to the map view you can centre the map around your current location to see all the outlets near you. You can reorder the offer list alphabetically and choose to filter categories using the settings screen. The search facility allows you to search by merchant name and cuisine type currently but we will be adding more ways to discover fabulous outlets soon.
How does redemption work on the app?
When you request your bill, you must notify the teller that you want to redeem a SABB Entertainer offer using your smartphone. Then, while the teller is watching, you just tap to redeem the offer (be sure that the outlet is correct because some merchants have offers that can be redeemed at more than one outlet). The app will prompt you to enter your PIN. When you have done this successfully the app will prompt you to ask the teller to enter their merchant PIN on your smartphone. When they have done this successfully you will get a confirmation notice on your screen. The teller will most likely want to make a note of the reference number that appears on your screen so you should allow them to do this (if you accidentally moved past this then you can still get it by going to Savings and then Redemption History). The teller will then prepare your bill with the discount applied. The merchant will receive a receipt of the redemption by email and this will contain the same reference number for security purposes.
If I go to a participating place and I hit redeem on an offer on my app account and find that they do not accept the offer for some reason, can I cancel the redemption?
Yes, you can cancel the redemption at any point until the teller successfully enters their merchant PIN.
I have lost my redemption PIN. What do I do?
You can reset your PIN within the Account section of the app and this is either in the main menu or within the settings screen (depending on your smartphone).
Can I see how much I have saved?
Yes, when you successfully redeem an offer you will see an estimate of how much you have just saved. If you go to the Savings tab within the App menu you will see the total of all the estimated savings you have made.
How do I find out how many offers I have left for a particular outlet on my App account?
Go to the merchant details screen and you will see all the offers available for that merchant. You will see how many are available and how many have already been redeemed.
How do I access the rules of use?
Validity and rules of use are contained within the offer screen as well as within the Account section.
How do I redeem more than one offer at the same time on the app – e.g. when I am with a group of friends and I have offers available to use?
You can currently only redeem one offer at a time within the app. So if you want to redeem say 3 offers at the same time then you need to go through the process 3 times with the teller and he will then produce your bill with the total discount applied.
