Competition: ENTERTAINER with HSBC – Earn and Redeem Challenge

Sponsor: HSBC Bank (Singapore) Limited, 21 Collyer Quay, #13-02, Singapore, 049320; and The ENTERTAINER Pte Ltd, 50 Collyer Quay, #09-01, OUE Bayfront, 049321.


  1. Eligibility: Open to registered App Users of the ENTERTAINER with HSBC App (the “App”), in Singapore aged 18 or older, at the time of entry. Competition is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
  2. Agreement to Terms & Conditions: By participating in the Competition, each entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Terms & Conditions and the decisions of the Sponsors, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Competition.
  3. To Enter: Entrants need to redeem twice on their ENTERTAINER with HSBC App between 15th July, 2019 and 31st August, 2019 11.59pm Singapore time (‘Time Period’). It is compulsory that all entries to the Competition have satisfied this requirement.
    All entrants will be gifted with 1000 coins for every two redemptions made during the Time Period. The top 10 (ten) entrants who make the greatest number of redemptions during the Time Period (each, a “Top Redeemer”) will each win the ‘Top Ten Redemption’ prize specified in clause 5 below. In the event that there are multiple entrants with same number of redemptions, the Top Redeemers will be selected based on the first 10 (ten) entrants which meet the qualifying criteria.

    All entrants that (i) make at least two redemptions during the Time Period, and (ii) are not Top Redeemers, shall be eligible to enter a lucky draw (the “Lucky Draw”). Please refer to clauses 4 and 5 below for details regarding the selection of winners and the prizes to be won in the Lucky Draw.
    Each entrant must be the rightful owner (or have authorized use) of the e-mail address identified in the entrant’s Account. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the e-mail account governing the e-mail address was opened. Entrants must provide all information requested to be eligible to win, namely full name and email address. Incomplete, unreadable, or unintelligible entries will be disqualified. No mechanically reproduced mail-in entries are allowed, and any entries made through robotic, automatic, programmed or similar methods will be treated as void.
  4. Selection of Winner:

    The Lucky Draw winners will be selected based on a random draw. The Lucky Draw will take place at the ENTERTAINER headquarters in Dubai, UAE on 4th of September 2019 and will be conducted by judges whose decisions are final and binding.

    Notification of Winners:
    Winners of the prize drawing Lucky Draw will be notified via registered mail by 20th September 2019. A letter containing details of redemptions of Prize/and or the Prize itself will be mailed to each winner by post at his/her address in HSBC’s records. The Sponsors shall not be responsible for any change of email address of entrants. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim a prize offered under the Competition (“Prize”), the Prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected at the Sponsors’ discretion from the remaining eligible entrants. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person’s whose full name is specified in the entry
  5. Prize(s):

    ‘Top Ten Redemption’ prize:  

    Each Top Redeemer shall receive a set of 4 (four) tickets to Canopy Park at Jewel Changi and a set of Sennheiser Earphones (worth S$139).

    Lucky Draw prizes:

    10 (ten) Lucky Draw winners shall each receive a Robinsons voucher of S$50 (fifty Singapore Dollars) in value.

    40 (forty) Lucky Draw winners shall each receive a set of 4 (four) tickets to Canopy Park at Jewel Changi.

    The prizes are non-transferrable and are non-redeemable for cash. Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state, provincial and local taxes that may apply to the Prizes. In the event that a winner selects not to collect or utilize any portion of a Prize, such portion shall be deemed forfeited.

  6. Privacy Policy: Any personal information supplied by each entrant will be subject to the Sponsor’s privacy policy posted at https://www.theentertainerme.com/Privacy-Policy Additionally, by entering the Competition you acknowledges that the Sponsors and/or their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and related companies may send you additional commercial marketing email regarding the ENTERTAINER and its partners.

    By participating in the Competition, each entrant consents to the use of his/her name, biographical information, image and likeness by the Sponsors for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes in connection with the Competition without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Each entrant releases and holds harmless the Sponsors and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and related companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, Affiliates) for any liability, claims and causes of action based on defamation or violation of rights of publicity or privacy.
  7. General:

    Employees of the Sponsor and their Affiliates, advertising, Competition, and fulfillment agencies, are not eligible to participate in the Competition.

    By participating in the Competition, each entrant releases the Sponsors and their Affiliates, including advertising agencies, from any and all liability with respect to the Competition or the acceptance, possession or use of any Prize, including without limitation (i) any condition caused by events beyond the Sponsors’ control that may cause the Competition to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages (whether compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of any Prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of any Prize, or from participation in the Competition; and (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Competition. The Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to vary, delete or add to any of these Terms & Conditions or cancel, modify or suspend the Competition in whole or in part without liability to any entrant. The Sponsors and their Affiliates shall not be responsible if the Competition cannot take place or if any Prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellations, postponements, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather or acts of terrorism. The Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any winner, as determined by the Sponsors in their sole discretion.

    Any failure by the Sponsors to enforce any term of these Terms & Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

    Each entrant acknowledges that the Sponsors and their Affiliates have not made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, in respect of any Prize, including but not limited to its quality, condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Use of the Prizes is subject to the terms and conditions of the merchants or manufacturers providing the relevant products and/or services; please refer to the relevant merchants or manufacturers for details. The Sponsors are not suppliers of the products and/or services provided by the merchants or manufacturers involved in the Competition and will not accept any liability in relation thereto.

    CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR TAMPER WITH OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE COMPETITION IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT(S) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

    ARBITRATION and WAIVER OF CERTAIN DAMAGES: As a condition of participating in the Competition, each entrant agrees that under no circumstances will such entrant be permitted to obtain awards for , and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, consequential or any other indirect damages or losses in connection with his/her participation in the Competition. Any disputes arising from the Competition, or any matter arising therefrom, whether direct or indirect, will be determined according to the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule (whether of the Dubai International Financial Centre or any other jurisdiction).Any legal suit, action or proceeding arising out of or related to the Competition shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre, although the Sponsors retain the right to bring any suit, action or proceeding in any other relevant jurisdiction.
